WOOLWORTHS ‘rollout last year of 890 iPads to its store managers has freed up about the equivalent of an entire working day every week that was previously spent in backrooms.
Woolworths yesterday declared its iPad revolution had succeeded and it was now trialling the use of iPod Touch by department heads at selected stores. In August last year, the supermarket chain issued each of its store managers with an iPad, aimed at freeing them from the computer work they usually did away from customers in the backrooms of the retail stores.
